4.2.3 Start / Halt an Auto Sequence Analysis
To start an auto sequence analysis, proceed as follows:
(1) In the Main Menu screen, press the 5 key to select "GC Control."
(2) In the GC Control submenu screen, press the 1 key to select "Auto."
(3) At the "Auto Purge" prompt, either...
(a) Press the ESC key to accept the default "Yes" option, or
(b) Toggle the default "Yes" option to "No" by pressing the ALT+SPACE keys; then
press the ESC key.
"Auto Purge" allows sample gas to flow through the sample loop for 60 seconds prior to the
beginning of the first analysis cycle.
(4) At the "Write Changes" prompt, press the ENTER key to accept the default "Yes" option.
(Or, to return to the GC Control submenu without beginning an auto sequence analysis, press
the ESC key.)
(5) The green LED indicator will illuminate to show the GC is running an analysis.
To see the progress of analysis runs, press the ESC key to return to the Main Menu screen; then press
the ESC key again to exit from operator control of the GC System. The status screen will appear,
and next to the "RUN: " field, a number is displayed. The number increases periodically to indicate
the seconds elapsed since the beginning of the current analysis run.
