10 Protocol Wizard
The protocol wizard is a helpful tool for automatic creation of PCR programs and pri-
mer annealing temperature calculation. To start the protocol wizard press the protocol
wizard button in the Biometra TRIO home screen (see chapter "Home Screen" p. 32).
10.1 Select Polymerase
The protocol wizard uses polymerase-specific program templates to create PCR pro-
grams. Program templates for up to 8 polymerases can be stored by the Biometra TRIO
software.

Pre-installed in the software is the program template for Analytik Jena Innupure poly-
merases. To create a PCR program select a polymerase from the list and press:
In the next screen (see chapter "Enter New Polymerase or edit Polymerase" p. 62) en-
ter values for the requested parameters to continue with the automatic program crea-
tion.
10.2 Enter New Polymerase or edit Polymerase
To enter program templates for new polymerases or to edit preset program templates
for polymerases press the corresponding button:
