Description
Use this function to view the access authorization to parameters via onsite operation. If a
symbol appears in front of a parameter, the parameter cannot be changed via the local display
with the current access authorization.
• The access authorization can be changed via the Enter access code parameter
(® ä 125).

If additional write protection is active, this restricts the current access authorization even
further. The write protection status can be viewed via the Locking status parameter
(® ä 113).

Description
Use this function to view the active write protection. If two or more types of write protection are
active, the write protection with the highest priority is shown on the display.
The symbol appears in front of parameters that cannot be modified since they are write-
protected.
Display options
• Hardware locked (priority 1)
The DIP switch for hardware locking is activated on the main electronics module. This locks
write access to the parameters (e.g. via local display or operating tool).

Temporarily locked (priority 2)
Write access to the parameters is temporarily locked on account of internal processes in
progress in the device (e.g. data upload/download, reset etc.). The parameters can be modified
as soon as the processes are complete.
