3 System Overview
This chapter describes the main functions and components of the System. Pictures may differ
from reality depending on the type of machine (JS125, JS250 or JS500).
3.1 General
One complete system consists of
four units
one software application, running on a laptop
one smartbox
a number of barrels
four trolleys (optional) including skid tracks
Properties of one unit:
The load is put on top of the barrel
Barrels are inserted into the unit one by one using the insertion system.
Once inside, the barrel is fetched by mini-jacks inside the unit.
The barrel is pushed upwards by the four main jacks. Every time a new barrel is inserted,
the pile is pushed up one step.
Only one unit can be operated by the controls on its control panel.
Four units can be controlled simultaneously by the applying the application running on
the laptop. The smartbox interfaces between the laptop and the unit.
