4.3.2 Document Cover
1. Disengage the Hinge (4.3.1 Hinge Disengagement on page 34), and remove the
Document Cover.
4.3.3 Upper Housing
1. Disengage the Hinge (4.3.1 Hinge Disengagement on page 34), remove the
Document Cover/TPU Unit/AFL Unit.
2. Remove the two screws (C.B.P. 3x8, 5-7 kgf.cm) that secure the Upper Housing.
3. Lift up the Upper Housing from the Hinge side, and release hook A near the
Function Buttons.
4. Slide the Upper housing to the other side of the Hinge, releasing three hooks, and
remove the Upper Housing from the Lower Housing.

Instead of the Document Cover, Perfection V100 Photo/V200
Photo/V350 Photo are equipped with TPU Unit/AFL Unit.
For disassembly of the TPU Unit/AFL Unit, see the sections given
below.

 Even after disengaging the Hinge, Perfection V100 Photo,
Perfection V200 Photo and Perfection V350 Photo are
connected to the main unit with a cable, therefore place the
TPU/AFL unit next to the main unit to carry on the procedures
below.
 The Perfection V10 was used to illustrate the disassembly of the
scanner main unit, therefore the color or some parts may differ
from the Perfection V100 Photo/V200 Photo/V350 Photo. The
procedures themselves, however do not differ between the three
models.
