5.6 Wiring
The ports may be wired in any order. Special connecting cables are available and
can be ordered separately. An overview is contained in the chapter "Cables and
Accessories" on page 85.
5.6.1 “Sensor” Port
To connect the sensors with the ES415.1, you can use different standard and
adapter cables as well as signal conditioning cables. Detailed information about
the cables offered by ETAS is located in chapter "Cable for the Connection "Sen-
sor"" on page 95 and in the user's guides of the Signal Conditioning Cables.
Standard and Adapter Cable
Cable CBAV411.1
You can customize the open connection of cable CBAV411.1 and adapt it
to the specific plug connector system of your measuring setup.
Cable CBAV400.1
If you replaced modules with BNC cabling with ES415.1 modules in your
measuring setup, the use of these adapter cables enables you to continue
using the existing cabling of your measuring setup.
Cable CBAV413.1
If you replaced IPETRONIK M-SENS modules with ES415.1 modules in your
measuring setup, the use of these adapter cables enables you to continue
using the existing cabling of your measuring setup.
Signal Conditioning Cable
CBN400.1 Isolating Measurement Probe
High-voltage cable, four input channels for voltages up to +/-1000 V DC
and isolation up to +/-1000 V DC
CBN401.1 Isolating Measurement Probe
High-voltage cable, four input channels for voltages up to +/-10 V DC and
isolation up to +/-1000 V DC
CBN41x.1 Current Probe
CBN42x.1 Sensor Cable Providing Bipolar Sensor Supply
CBN43x.1 Temperature Sensor Connection Cable
To wire the ES415.1 with the sensors
1. If there is a protective cap at the "Sensor" port,
remove it.
2. Connect the sensor cable to the “Sensor” port of
the ES415.1.
3. Connect the sensors and transducers to the ports of
the sensor cables of the ES415.1.
4. For your application program, jot down the assign-
ment of the sensors to the inputs of the ES415.1 in
accordance with the wiring of the test set-up.
