Connecting the EXAKT 312 to the power supply
Risk of electric shock!
Mains cable damage can result in serious injuries or death due to an
electric shock and cause damage to the unit.
u Never place the EXAKT 312 in operation with a damaged mains
cable.
u Always check mains cable for damage.
u Protect mains cable against heat, aggressive liquids and sharp edges.
u Lay mains cable so that it cannot be damaged.
u Keep mains cable away from water.
u Use a splash-proof mains socket.
Have a damaged mains cable replaced by a service engineer.
Attention – incorrect mains voltage!
If the mains voltage is incorrect, the EXAKT 312 may be damaged.
u Only connect the EXAKT 312 to the mains voltage stated on the type
plate.
u Connect the mains plug to a splash-proof socket.
The EXAKT 312 has been connected to the power supply.
The installation of the EXAKT 312 is now complete.
6 Placing in operation for the first time
The following subjects are described in this section:
• Undertaking a test run
• Ending a test run
To be able to place the EXAKT 312 diamond pathology saw in operation,
the unit must be connected to the water and power supply, and the
installation must be complete (see section 5 Installation).
Before it is possible to start routine work, a test run must be undertaken
to check the centring of the cutting band.
