Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the mac hine from the nor mal operating position.
W ARNING

the machine, par ts, and/or accessories.

Maintenance Safety
• Before adjusting, cleaning, ser vicing, or lea ving
the mac hine , do the follo wing:
– P ark the mac hine on a lev el surface .
– Diseng ag e the dri v es and the po w er tak e-off .
– Eng ag e the parking brak e .
– Shut off the mac hine and remo v e the k ey .
– W ait for all mo ving par ts to stop .
– Allo w mac hine components to cool.
• Carefully release pressure from components with
stored energ y .
• Chec k the parking brak e operation frequently .
Ser vice the brak e as needed.
• Nev er tamper with safety devices . Chec k their
proper operation regularly .
• Do not rely solely on mec hanical or h y draulic jac ks
to suppor t the mac hine; suppor t the mac hine with
jac k stands whenev er y ou raise the mac hine .
• Use care when c hec king the blades . W rap the
blades or w ear glo v es , and use caution when
ser vicing the blades . Only re place or shar pen the
blades; nev er straighten or w eld them.
• On m ulti-bladed mac hines , tak e care as rotating
one blade can cause other blades to rotate .
• K ee p y our hands and feet a w a y from hot surfaces .
• K ee p all hardw are tightened, especially the
blade-attac hment hardw are .

• Chec k the tire pressure .
Ev er y 500 hours
• Adjust the caster -pi v ot bearing .
• Chang e the transmission uid.
Before storag e
• P aint c hipped surfaces .
• P erfor m all maintenance procedures before storag e .
Y early
• Apply anti-seize compound to the cushion knobs .
• Grease the front caster pi v ots (more often in dir ty or dusty conditions).
• Grease the caster -wheel hubs .
