4. Machine use and care
A. Do not f orce the machine. Use the cor r ect
machine f or y our application. The cor r ect
machine will do the job better and saf er at the rate
for w hich it w as designed.
B . Do not use the machine if the s witch does
not tur n it on and of f. Any machine that cannot
be contr olled with the switch is danger ous and must
be r e pair ed.
C . Disconnect the plug fr om the po w er
source and/or r emo v e the batter y pack,
if detacha ble, fr om the machine bef or e
making an y adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing the machine. Such
pr e venti ve saf ety measur es r educe the risk of star ting
the machine accidentally .
D . Stor e an idle machine out of the r each
of childr en and do not allo w per sons
unf amiliar with the machine or these
instr uctions to operate the machine. A
machine is danger ous in the hands of untrained users .
E. Maintain the machine and accessories.
Check f or misalignment or binding of
mo ving par ts, br eaka ge of par ts and
an y other condition that may af fect the
operation of the machine. If dama ged,
ha v e the machine r epair ed bef or e use.
Many accidents ar e caused by a poorly maintained
machine.
F . K eep cutting tools shar p and clean. Pr operly
maintained cutting tools with shar p cutting edges ar e
less lik ely to bind and ar e easier to contr ol.
G . Use the machine, accessories, and
tool bits etc ., in accordance with these
instr uctions, taking into account the
w or king conditions and the w or k to be
perf or med. Use of the machine for operations
dif f er ent fr om those intended could r esult in a
hazardous situation.
H. K eep handles and g rasping surf aces dr y ,
clean and fr ee fr om oil and g r ease. Slipper y
handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for saf e
handling and contr ol of the machine in unexpected
situations .
5. Battery machine use and care
A. R echarge onl y with the charger specied
by a man uf actur er . A char ger that is suitab le for
one type of batter y pac k may cr eate a risk of r e w hen
used with another batter y pac k.
B . Use the machine onl y with specicall y
designated batteries. Use of any other batteries
may cr eate a risk of injur y and r e.
C . W hen batter y pack is not in use, k eep it
a w ay fr om other metal objects, lik e paper
clips, coins, k eys, nails, scr ews or other
small metal objects, that can mak e a
connection fr om one ter minal to another .
Shor ting the batter y ter minals to gether may cause
bur ns or a r e.
D . Under a busi v e conditions, liquid may be
ejected fr om the batter y; a v oid contact.
If contact accidentall y occur s, ush with
w ater . If liquid contacts ey es, additionall y
seek medical help . Liquid ejected fr om the
batter y may cause ir ritation or bur ns .
E. Do not use a batter y pack or machine that
is dama ged or modied. Damaged or modied
batteries may exhibit unpr edictab le beha vior r esulting
in r e , explosion or risk or injur y .
F . Do not expose a batter y pack or machine
to r e or ex cessi v e temperatur e. Exposur e to
r e temperatur e above 130 ° C may cause an explosion.
G . F ollo w all charging instr uctions and do
not charge the batter y pack or machine
outside the temperatur e range specied
in the instr uctions. Changing impr operly or at
temperatur es outside the specied range may damage
the batter y and incr ease the risk of r e.
6. Service
A. Ha v e y our machine ser viced by a qualied
r epair per son using onl y identical
r eplacement par ts. This will ensur e that the
saf ety of the machine is maintained.
B . Nev er ser vice dama ged batter y packs.
Ser vice of batter y pac ks should be perfor med only by
the manufactur er or authoriz ed ser vice pr oviders .
Lawn Mower Safety W arnings
1. Do not use the la wnmo w er in bad w eather
conditions, especiall y when ther e is a risk of
lightning . This decr eases the risk of being str uc k by
lightning .
2. T hor oughl y inspect the ar ea f or wildlife
wher e the la wnmo w er is to be used. W ildlif e
may be injur ed by the lawnmow er during operation.
3. T hor oughl y inspect the ar ea wher e the
la wnmo w er is to be used and r emo v e all
