3. R emo v e g rass clippings , dir t, and g rime from
the exter nal par ts of the entire mac hine using
compressed air .
Important: Do not use w ater to clean the
machine, otherwise y ou could dama ge the
motor s and other electric components.
4. Chec k the brak e; refer to P ar k P osition ( pag e 15 ) .
5. Grease the mac hine; refer to
Gr easing the Machine ( pag e 37 ) .

Battery Storage
Requirements
Note: Y ou do not need to remo v e the batteries from
the mac hine for storag e .
R efer to the temperature limits for storag e in the
follo wing table:
T emperature Limits for Storage
Stora ge T emperatur e
Appr opriate Stora ge
Time
45° to 55°C (113° to
131°F)

25° to 45°C (77° to 113°F)
3 w eeks
-20° to 25°C (-4° to 77°F)

Important: T emperatur es outside of these
ranges will dama ge y our batteries.
T he temperatur e that the batteries ar e stor ed
at will af fect their long-ter m life. Stora ge f or
long periods of time at extr eme temperatur es
will r educe the batter y life. F or temperatur es
a bo v e 25°C (77°F), onl y stor e the machine f or
the appr opriate amount of time indicated in the
ta ble.
• Before y ou store the mac hine , c harg e or disc harg e
the batteries betw een 40% to 60% (54.3V to
57.3V).
Note: A 50% c harg e is optimal to ensure a
maxim um batter y life . W hen the batteries are
c harg ed to 100% before storag e , the batter y life
shor tens .
If y ou anticipate that the mac hine will be stored
for a long er period of time , c harg e the batteries to
around 60%.
• F or ev er y 6 months of storag e , c hec k the
batter y-c harg e lev el and ensure that it is betw een
40% to 60%. If the c harg e is belo w 40%, c harg e
the batteries betw een 40% to 60%.
