Drive System Maintenance
Checking the T ire Pressure
Service Interval : Every 50 hours/Monthly
(whichever comes rst)
Maintain the air pressure in the rear tires at 83 to 97
kP a (12 to 14 psi).
Important: Unev en tir e pr essur e can cause an
unev en cut.
Note: T he front tires are semi-pneumatic tires and
do not require air -pressure maintenance .

Adjusting the Caster-Pivot Bearing
Service Interval : Every 500 hours/Y early
(whichever comes rst)
1. Diseng ag e the blade-control switc h (PTO) and
mo v e the motion-control lev ers outw ard to the
P ark position.
2. Shut off the mac hine , remo v e the k ey , and w ait
for all mo ving par ts to stop before lea ving the
operating position.
3. R emo v e the dust cap from the caster .
4. Tighten the loc kn ut until the spring w ashers are
at, and then bac k off a 1/4 tur n to properly set
the preload on the bearings .
Important: Mak e sur e that the spring
w asher s ar e installed cor r ectl y as sho wn.
5. Install the dust cap .
