T ransporting the Lithium-Ion
Batteries
T he US De par tment of T ranspor tation and
inter national transpor tation authorities require that
lithium-ion batteries be transpor ted using special
pac kaging and only be transpor ted b y car riers
cer tied to haul them. In the US , y ou are allo w ed
to transpor t a batter y when it is installed on the
mac hine as batter y po w ered equipment, with some
regulator y requirements . Contact the US De par tment
of T ranspor tation or the appropriate g o v er nment
body in y our countr y for detailed regulations on
transpor tation of y our batteries or the mac hine with
the batteries equipped.

• Do not handle the plug or the charger with
w et hands or while standing in w ater .
• Do not charge the batteries in the rain or in
w et conditions.
T o reduce the risk of electric shoc k, this c harg er has a
3-prong g rounded plug (type B). If the plug does not
t into the w all rece ptacle , other g rounded plug types
are a v ailable; contact an A uthorized Ser vice Dealer .
Do not c hang e the c harg er or the po w er -supply-cord
plug in any w a y .
Important: Check the po w er suppl y cord
periodicall y f or holes or cracks in the insulation.
Do not use a dama ged cord. Do not r un the cord
thr ough standing w ater or w et g rass.
1. Inser t the c harg er plug on the po w er -supply cord
into the matc hing input po w er soc k et on the
c harg er .
W ARNING
A dama ged charger cord can cause an
electrical shock or a r e.
T hor oughl y inspect the po w er suppl y cord
bef or e using the charger . If the cord is
dama ged, do not operate the charger until
y ou obtain a r eplacement.
2. Inser t the w all plug end of the po w er supply cord
into a g rounded electrical outlet.
