32 to 104 °F. Do not extinguish a burning battery with water, only the
surrounding burning material. Class D extinguishers (metal powder
type) are better suited for this. If it is possible to take the battery
safelyoutside,smothertherewithsand.
Batteries must not be short-circuited. They can cause explosions,

malfunctions and a limited battery life. Do not store batteries in a
box or drawer where they can be short-circuited by contact with each
other or with conductive materials (screws, paper clips, keys, coins,
nails or other small metal objects).
