Using the Options Menu
You will notice that there are two tabs: Options and Advanced Options. Advanced Options
should be used by support technicians only. Please do not alter the options under the
Advanced Options tab unless you are directed by FORMULATRIX support to do so.

Detach Last
Dispensed Chip
True
Determines whether or not MANTIS detaches
and returns the last dispensed chip to its port
after the dispense process completes.
Dispense Path Horizontal
Determines the arms movement direction when
executing a dispense.
Pre-dispense and
Prime with SD
Pump
False
Set this option to True if you want to use only the
small diaphragm pump for pre-dispense and
prime processes. This can help preserve
reagents, but may increase the time needed for
these processes to be completed.
Recover Reagents
Before Detach
True
Determines whether or not MANTIS performs
reagent recovery before detaching and returning
the chip to its port. Reagent recovery can prevent
reagent from siphoning out of the chip when it is
in the chip port.

Reagent Recovery
After Wash
False
Determines whether or not MANTIS performs
the reagent recovery after washing the chips. If
you use MANTIS infrequently, you should set
this to True.
Wash After
Dispense
Disable
Determines whether or not MANTIS washes the
chips after the dispense process completes. If
set to Ingredient, MANTIS will automatically
wash the chips after each reagent. If set to
Plate, MANTIS will automatically wash the chips
when a plate dispense finishes.
