The hybrid inverter converts the direct current generated by the solar modules into
alternating current. This alternating current is fed into the public grid synchronously with
the grid voltage. In addition, the solar energy can be stored in a connected battery for
later use.
The hybrid inverter has been developed specifically for use in grid-connected photovol-
taic systems. Emergency power mode is possible provided that appropriate wiring has
been installed.
Thanks to its design and operating principle, the inverter is extremely safe both to install
and to operate.
The inverter monitors the public grid automatically. In the event of abnormal grid condi-
tions, the inverter ceases operating immediately and stops feeding power into the grid
(e.g. if the grid is switched off, if there is an interruption, etc.).
Grid monitoring involves voltage, frequency and islanding detection monitoring. The
inverter switches to emergency power mode provided that appropriate wiring has been
installed.
Operation of the inverter is fully automatic.
The inverter is designed to draw as much power from the solar modules as possible.
Depending on the operating point, this power is either stored in the battery, fed into the
grid or used for the household network in emergency power mode.
As soon as the solar modules stop providing sufficient energy, the power from the battery
is fed into the household network. Depending on the selected setting, power can also be
drawn from the public grid for the purpose of charging the battery.
If the inverter becomes too hot, it automatically reduces the current output power or char-
ging power, or switches to emergency power mode in order to protect itself.
Reasons for the inverter becoming too hot include the ambient temperature being too
high or inadequate heat dissipation (e.g. if it is installed in a switch cabinet without suit-
able heat dissipation).
IMPORTANT! The battery is only to be switched on when the inverter is in Standby
mode.
