2 Select the drive that is to be registered as the Global Hot Spare and click [Assign Global HS] in [Action].
A confirmation screen appears.
3 Click the [OK] button.
The Global Hot Spare is registered and the registration completion screen appears.
4 Click the [Done] button.
The screen display returns to the [Drives] screen.

Dedicated Hot Spare Registration
The procedure to register a Dedicated Hot Spare is as follows:
1 Click the [Component] tab on the navigation of the ETERNUS Web GUI screen. On the [Component]
screen, click [Drives] in [Category].
The [Drives] screen appears.
2 Select the drive that is to be registered as the Dedicated Hot Spare and click [Assign Dedicated HS] in
[Action].
The [Assign Dedicated Hot Spare] screen appears.
