CMD
Table with recommended measuring times with respect to noise suppression for
CMD-Duo:
Manual measurement, conductivity > 15 mS/m
1 s
Manual measurement, conductivity < 15 mS/m
1 3 s
Manual measurement, conductivity < 3 mS / m
3 5 s
Continuous measurement
1 s
CMD-Duo probe is more sensitive to atmospheric and industrial
interferences than other CMDs, especially while measuring with the highest depth
range. Atmospheric interferences usually cause short, but significant changes of
reading. Industrial interference mostly causes small drift of the values or steps in
both conductivity and in-phase readings. Before measurement, it is recommended
to start quick search mode and watch the values for a few minutes to find out level
of interferences and to choose proper measuring time. In the basic manual mode
(with measuring tape) it is recommended to check the stability of individual values
currently.
Measurement error
The measurement error is calculated as standard deviation. CMD allows
activating automatic checking of measurement error. User can set the maximum
acceptable measurement error in the range from 1 to 10 %. If the current
measurement error is greater than set limit (<1%, <2%, <5%, <10%) the
measurement time is prolonged twice or four times. When “--- is set the automatic
prolongation is switched off while the current registration of the measurement error
remains active.
