1. Recommendations and safety
Personnel safety
Turnothemachinebeforebeginninganycleaning,maintenanceorrepair
procedure.
• Onlytrainedpersonnelawareoftherisksposedbythemachineareauthorizedtointegrate,startanduse
it (training tool: operating and maintenance manual).
• The machine is designed for light engraving only and under no circumstances should it be used for other
applications.
• Do not use this machine for routing or intensive cutting operations.
• Donotusethismarkingequipmentinanexplosiveenvironment.
• Never hold the materials for engraving in hands. Use only Gravotech clamping systems designed for the
machine.
• Duringengravingoperations,usethismachinewitha(regulatingorsuction)noseinordertopreventying
swarf.
• Donotstartengravingwithoutrstensuringthattheobjecttobeengravedissecurelyclamped.
• Nevertakeholdofthematerialforengravingwhenengravingisinprogress.
• Interrupt engraving by means of the pause function provided for this purpose on the machine control panel.
• Keep away from the area above the machine. Keep clear of the tool-holder.
• Ensurethatpeoplearekeptclearoftheareaoftravelofthemovingpartsofthemachineandthatno
objectsriskobstructingtheirmovement.
• Warning: Hazardous moving parts - Keep ngers and other body parts away. To prevent any risk of
crushing,avoidplacingthehandsinthelocationsidentied.
• Thisequipmenthasundergoneacomprehensivecerticationprocess,coveringoperationuptoanaltitude
of 3000 m (9 842.490 ft). The commercial conditions of warranty are maintained for use beyond the limit
of 3000 m (9 842.490 ft).
Theuseofsafetyglassesisrecommendedforprotectionagainstyingswarf.
To prevent any risk of cutting injury, wear protective gloves when handling the tool.
