17.6.2 FLOWADAPT

When you select FLOWADAPT, the pump runs
AUTOADAPT and ensures that the flow never
exceeds the entered FLOWLIMIT value.
The setting range for FLOWLIMIT is 25 to 90 %, of
the maximum flow rate of the pump.
The factory setting of the FLOWLIMIT is the flow rate
where the AUTOADAPT factory setting meets the
maximum curve. See figure FLOWADAPT.
Do not set the FLOWLIMIT lower than the sized duty
point.

The head of the pump is reduced at decreasing water
demand and increased at rising water demand. See
the figure Proportional pressure.
This control mode is especially suitable in systems
with relatively large pressure losses in the distribution
pipes. The head of the pump increases proportionally
to the flow in the system to compensate for the large
pressure losses in the distribution pipes.
The setpoint can be set with an accuracy of 0.1
metre. The head against a closed valve is half the
setpoint. The setting range is between 25 % and 90
% of maximum head.
