27.1 Maintenance
27.1.1 Pump
The pump is maintenance-free.
If the pump is to be drained for a long period of
inactivity, inject a few drops of silicone oil on the shaft
between the motor stool and the coupling. This
prevents the shaft seal faces from sticking.
27.1.2 Motor
If service is needed on the product, please contact
Grundfos Service.
27.2 Service
If Grundfos is requested to service the pump, you
must clean it before returning it. If you cannot clean
the pump properly, then provide Grundfos with all
relevant information about the pumped liquid.
If the above is not fulfilled, Grundfos can refuse to
accept the pump for service.
Possible costs of returning the pump are to be paid
by the customer.
27.2.1 Integral shaft and coupling
TPE2 and TPE3 pumps have integral shaft and
coupling. We recommend that you do not remove the
motor.
If you have removed the motor, you must remove the
motor stool in order to refit the motor correctly.
Otherwise the shaft seal may be damaged.
