17.6.6 Constant differential pressure
Pump variant
Constant differential
pressure
TPE3, TPE3 D
TPE2, TPE2 D
The pump maintains a constant differential pressure,
independently of the flow in the system. This control
mode is primarily suitable for systems with relatively
small pressure losses.

Constant differential pressure
The setting range is between 12.5 % of maximum
head and maximum head. This control mode requires
either an internal or external differential-pressure
sensor or two external pressure sensors as shown in
the examples below.
Examples
Factory-fitted differential-pressure sensor. Only
TPE3, TPE3 D.
p
One external differential-pressure sensor.
The pump uses the input from the sensor to
control the differential pressure.
You can set sensor manually or by using the
Assist menu. See section Assisted pump setup.
p
p
Two external pressure sensors.
Constant differential-pressure control is
achievable with two individual pressure sensors.
The pump uses the inputs from the two sensors
and calculates the differential pressure.
The sensors must have the same unit and must
be set as feedback sensors. You can set the
sensors manually, sensor by sensor, or by using
the Assist menu. See section Assisted pump
setup.
