Machine Quilting Tip: Quilting speed while in stitch-regulation mode
It is unlikely that you will move the Innity across the quilt too fast. However, if you do,
it will result in an overspeed condion if the machine can’t maintain stch regulaon. An
overspeed alarm, if turned on, will alert you that you should slow down your quilng to
maintain stch regulaon.
Basng Mode
The Innity includes ve basng stch opons for basng a quilt. The basng stch opons are available in
stch regulaon mode only.
The stches-per-inch seng ranges between 5 stches per inch and 24 stches per inch. If you connue to
press the minus (–) buon on the screen, aer 5 you will see B1/4", B1/2", B1", B2", and B4".
B1/4" One stch every quarter inch of movement of the machine
B1/2" One stch every half inch of movement of the machine
B1" One stch every one inch of movement of the machine
B2" One stch every two inches of movement of the machine
B3" One stch every four inches of movement of the machine

To baste a quilt
1 . T o u c h t h e Regulated buon.
2 . Press the minus (–) buon next to the stches-per-inch box on the screen unl you see 5 stches per
inch. Connue touching the minus (–) buon and the four basng stch opons appear. Choose the
one you want to use – either B1/4", B1/2", B1", B2", or B4".
3. Begin basng the quilt by pressing the Start buon. As you move the machine across the quilt, it will
perform a stch (needle down and then needle up) every one quarter, one half, one, two, or four inches
according to your choice of basng stch length.
Machine Quilting Tip: Basting the edges of the quilt
If you are basng the edges of the quilt to the bang and backing, choose a low number
of stches per inch, somewhere between 5 to 8 stches per inch, rather than one of the
basng-mode stches. This will help to prevent the hopping foot from going between the
bang and quilt top.
