Machine Quilting Tip: Quilting speed while in stitch-regulation mode
It is unlikely that you will move the Innity across the quilt too fast. However, if you do,
it will result in an overspeed condion if the machine can’t maintain stch regulaon. An
overspeed alarm, if turned on, will alert you that you should slow down your quilng to
maintain stch regulaon.
Basng Mode
The Innity includes ve basng stch opons for basng a quilt. The basng stch opons are available in
stch regulaon mode only.
The stches-per-inch seng ranges between 5 stches per inch and 24 stches per inch. If you connue to
press the minus (–) buon on the screen, aer 5 you will see B1/4", B1/2", B1", B2", and B4".
B1/4" One stch every quarter inch of movement of the machine
B1/2" One stch every half inch of movement of the machine
B1" One stch every one inch of movement of the machine
B2" One stch every two inches of movement of the machine
B3" One stch every four inches of movement of the machine

To baste a quilt
1 . T o u c h t h e Regulated buon.
2 . Press the minus (–) buon next to the stches-per-inch box on the screen unl you see 5 stches per
inch. Connue touching the minus (–) buon and the four basng stch opons appear. Choose the
one you want to use – either B1/4", B1/2", B1", B2", or B4".
3. Begin basng the quilt by pressing the Start buon. As you move the machine across the quilt, it will
perform a stch (needle down and then needle up) every one quarter, one half, one, two, or four inches
according to your choice of basng stch length.
Machine Quilting Tip: Basting the edges of the quilt
If you are basng the edges of the quilt to the bang and backing, choose a low number
of stches per inch, somewhere between 5 to 8 stches per inch, rather than one of the
basng-mode stches. This will help to prevent the hopping foot from going between the
bang and quilt top.
