448 Touch Probe Cycles: Special Functions
17.3 CALIBRATE TS LENGTH (Cycle 9)
17.3 CALIBRATE TS LENGTH
(Cycle 9)
Cycle run
Touch probe cycle 9 automatically calibrates the length of a touch
trigger probe at a point that you determine.
1 Pre-position the touch probe so that the coordinate defined in the
cycle can be accessed without collision.
2 The TNC moves the touch probe in the direction of the negative
tool axis until a trigger signal is released.
3 Finally, the TNC moves the touch probe back to the starting point
of the probing process and writes the effective touch probe length
into the calibration data.
Cycle parameters
U Coordinate of datum (absolute): Exact
coordinate of the point that is to be probed. Input
range -99999.9999 to 99999.9999
U Reference system? (0=ACT/1=REF): Specify the
coordinate system on which the entered datum is to
be based:
0: Entered datum is based on the active workpiece
coordinate system (ACT system)
1: Entered datum is based on the active machine
coordinate system (REF system)
Example: NC blocks
