For the functions open, close and switchover impulse (toggle), (pushbuttons) with
a normally open contact are connected as command devices. For the functions
OPEN [In5] or partOPEN [In4], it is also possible to have a switch with a static
normally open contact (e.g. timer) to keep the gate open.
Only command devices with a normally closed contact are used for the STOP
function. Several normally closed contacts can be connected in series to form a
stop chain.
The limit switches for the OPEN and CLOSED position of the gate are also normally
closed contacts.
The two input functions with the grey background in the table represent variant 1.
Section 7.3 describes how these two inputs can also be assigned other functions.
In order to meet the specific requirements for hold-to-run operation, inputs “In7
and “In8” may only be used for pushbuttons for which safe use and a full view of
the gate system are guaranteed during operation.
