Closing run shortening with a light barrier 7.7.4
When a light barrier is used, the control system can enter a shorter hold-open
time (OPEN limit position) after the gate has passed through the light barrier.
Menu: “Service Access”, “Password Input”: Enter password.
Menu: “Settings”, “Set timer”, “Sec. time (s)”: set to “xxx”.
Example: If the preset time is 5 and the gate is in the OPEN position, after the
gate has passed through the light barrier (signal active and then inactive again), a
time counter is started that allows the gate to close again after 5 seconds.
The default for this parameter is 0 (no closing run shortening).
This value can only be changed if the password has been entered.
Slow movement before the limit positions 7.7.5
If, in the case of gates with a large opening width in the OPEN direction, the
moment at which the gate is braked before reaching the OPEN limit switch is too
late, this preset time value can be increased. In the factory setting the default
time is 600. The value can be altered as follows:
Menu: “Service Access”, “Password Input”: Enter password.
Menu: “Service access”, “Time pre-limit switch”: Set a value between 50
and 1000.
Menu: “Settings”, “Safety”, “Reference movement”: set value to “2”.
Exit menu.
Perform reference movement.
Check braking distance before the OPEN and CLOSED limit positions.
This value can only be changed if the password has been entered.
The effects of the new value only become discernible after a new reference
movement has been performed.
7.8 MAINTENANCE EVENTS
To ensure that the gate is maintained regularly, some options are provided to set
up a maintenance requirement in the control system software. Individual or
multiple items from the events listed below can be selected for a maintenance
requirement. The event that occurs first activates the control system’s
maintenance requirement.
