The microscope should be grasped and lifted by the frame housing. Grasp the frame behind
the nosepiece turret as shown in
Figure 2-3.
CAUTION:
The instrument weighs 70 lbs. (32 kg) and should be moved by at least two people.
CAUTION:
Lifting the instrument by the motorized stage or top cover will cause damage to the
microscope and may render it inoperable.

CONNECTING INTEGRATED IMAGER COMPONENTS
The Integrated Imager components must be fully assembled before turning on the power and
using the instrument. Hologic service personnel will assemble the instrument:
Controller
Computer
Microscope
Assemble spacers, trinocular head (optional telescoping head or riser)
Eyepieces
Objectives
User interface touch screen and mounting rail
Controller
, which controls the electromechanical and imaging subsystems.
Computer
that hosts the system application and database.
