Set the control lever in the
NEUTRAL position.
The engine does not start unless
the control lever is set in the
NEUTRAL position.
When the engine is cold or the
ambient temperature is low, hold
the choke switch to ON position.
(This will provide rich fuel
mixture to the engine.)
Pushing the fast idle button, move
the remote control lever forward
and open the throttle a little.
On the R2 type: The control lever
cannot be operated unless the neutral
release lever is lifted.
The gear engages and the boat starts
to move when the remote control
lever is turned forward without
pushing the fast idle button. Be sure
to push the fast idle button while
operating the remote control lever.
