Coulter discs
The coulter disc are arranged at the front under
an angle with slight pretension to each other.
This enables light pulling work and exact open-
ing of the seed channel.
Adjusting the coulter discs
¾ Adjust the pre-tension of the two coulter discs
with washers. If necessary, add another
washer.
With wet or loose soils the pre-tension of
the coulter discs must not be too high, to
make sure that the discs will not block up
and wear unevenly.
The coulter discs must be slightly pre-
tensioned at the cutting edge, but should
still be free turning without using force.
If one disc rotates, the other one should
also reliably turn as well.
If the discs stop and block up because of
incorrect pre-tension, too loose soil or
wear, the seed will be placed in bunches.
Wear
This pre-tension will reduce due to wear on the
coulter discs or the discs will no longer have
contact.
¾ In this case renew the coulter discs and ad-
just the pre-tension by removing the washer
again.
Tighten the screws for the coulter disc bear-
ings (socket head cap screw M 16 x 1.5) with
130 - 150 Nm.
Tighten the screws for the coulter discs
(6 x M 8 per disc) with 38 Nm.
Scraper
The scrapers keep coulter discs and press roll-
ers free of dirt.
¾ Check the function, wear and readjustment
(scraper for coulter discs) of the scrapers at
regular intervals.
Coulter disc scraper
The scraper features self adjusting carbide tips
glued to the edges.
¾ Ensure even, slightly angular contact across
the entire range of the coulter disc:

Press roller scraper
The scraper can be re-adjusted if worn.
¾ Loosen screw (A) to readjust.
¾ Adjust the scraper via the slot.

Press roller scraper
¾ Move the scraper as close as possible towards
the press roller (approx. 2 mm distance).
Thereby rotate the press roller and check
for free rotation. The scraper should not rub
against the (clean) press roller at any point.
