To refill and reinstall the calibration vial
To refill and reinstall the calibration vial
Materials needed:
PFTBA (05971-60571) or other tuning compound
1 Remove the calibration vial (page 122).
2 Pour PFTBA into the vial.
Leave 6-mm of the vial unfilled.
3 Push the calibration vial into the valve as far as possible.
4 Withdraw the vial 1 mm.
This prevents damage when you tighten the collar.
5 Turn the collar clockwise to tighten it.
Clockwise as viewed from the bottom (vial side) of the collar. The collar should be
snug but not overly tight. Do not use a tool to tighten the collar. It does not
require that much force.
6 Reinstall the upper MSD cover.
7 Select Purge Cal Valve from the Vacuum menu in the Diagnostics/Vacuum
Control view.
&$87,21
