HP-IB/MS control card
HP-IB/MS control card
The HP-IB/MS control card is located to the left of the main board on the electron-
ics panel. The HP-IB/MS control card has two main functions:
• Providing a communication interface between the MSD and the data system.
• Providing real-time control of the MSD, freeing the data system for other tasks.
Functional areas of the HP-IB/MS control card include:
• Instrument controller
• Data processor
• Main processor
• Serial communication processor
• HP-IB controller
• Remote start processor
• Random access memory (RAM)
