System Fan
To remove the system fan:
1. Perform the steps in the “Service Preparations” section in this chapter, then place the
workstation on its side.
CAUTION:
Before removing the side access panel, ensure that the workstation is turned off, all
cables are disconnected from the back of the workstation, and the power cord is disconnected
from the grounded AC outlet.
2. Remove the side access panel.
3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board and remove the cable from the clip.
4. Remove the card guide as illustrated in the previous section.
5. Remove the four screws securing the fan to the fan bracket.
6. Remove the fan.

To replace the system fan, reverse the above procedure.
