ProcedureProcedure
1. Power down the server (Power down the server).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack ( Extend the server from the rack ).
Remove the server from the rack ( Remove the server from the rack ).
4. Remove the access panel ( Remove the access panel).
5. Remove the fan cage (Removing and replacing the fan cage ).
6. Remove all drives ( Removing and replacing drives).
7. Remove the 2 SFF rear drive cage (Removing and replacing the 2 SFF drive cage ).
8. Remove the drive backplane.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
