PCI Express installation
1. Disconnect power from the system (Predisassembly procedures on page 57) and remove the side
access panel (
Side access panel on page 63).
2. Release the PCI retention clamp by first pressing down on the green snaps 1 and rotating the clamp
upward.
3. Remove the PCI slot cover 2.
4. Lower the PCI Express 3 card into the chassis. Verify that the keyed components of the card align
with the socket.
5. Close the PCI retention clamp 4 by rotating the clamp downward and pushing on the two green
snaps down from the rear panel of the chassis.
6. If installing a PCI Express high-end graphics card, plug in the auxiliary cable 5 from the power
supply.
