3.5.2 Creating a VLANIF Interface
Context
Perform the following steps on the AR3200 to create a VLANIF interface.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
interface vlanif vlan-id
A VLANIF interface is created and the VLANIF interface view is displayed.
NOTE
A VLANIF interface can be Up only when the corresponding VLAN contains physical interfaces in Up
state.

3.5.3 Assigning an IP Address to a VLANIF Interface
Context
Perform the following steps on the AR3200 to assign an IP address to a VLANIF interface.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
interface vlanif vlan-id
A VLANIF interface is created and the VLANIF interface view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
ip address ip-address { mask | mask-length }
The IP address of the VLANIF interface is configured.
