Using VLANIF Interfaces
Networking Requirements
As shown in Figure 3-3, Ethernet 2/0/1 of the Router is connected to the uplink interface of
SwitchA.
On SwitchA, the downlink interface Ethernet 2/0/1 is added to VLAN 10 and the downlink
interface Ethernet 2/0/2 is added to VLAN 20.
PC1 in VLAN 10 and PC2 in VLAN 20 need to communicate with each other.

Configuration Roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
1. Add Ethernet interfaces to the VLAN.
2. Configure VLANIF interfaces.
Data Preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
l Ethernet 2/0/1 of the Router belongs to VLAN 10 and VLAN 20.
l IP address of VLANIF 10 on the Router is 10.10.10.1/24.
l IP address of VLANIF 20 on the Router is 20.20.20.1/24.
