Replacing a USB Interface (Front) Assembly (for PureFlex

systems only)

1. Prepare the 7226 Storage Enclosure for Service. See Preparing the 7226 Storage Enclosure for Removal or Installation

of a Storage Device or Other Component for the correct procedure.

2. Open the 7226 Storage Enclosure for Service. See Opening the 7226 Storage Enclosure for Service for the correct

procedure.

3. Locate the Interface assembly to be replaced.

4. Remove the USB Interface (Front) Assembly (only available on PureFlex systems) by pressing down on the catch located

on the top and bottom of the bezel.

5. Remove the USB Interface (Front) Assembly from the drive connector 1 and remove the power connector 2.

6. Locate the new USB Interface (Front) Assembly.

7. Insert the USB cable through the opening in the chassis before snapping the bezel into place to attach the USB

Interface (Front) Assembly (only available on PureFlex systems).
