The transceiver does
not turn ON.
• Bad connection to the power supply. • Check the connection to the transceiver. pp. 46,

No sound comes from
the speaker.
• Squelch level is too high.
Volume level is too low.
• Speaker has been exposed to water.
• Internal speaker is turned OFF.
• Set [SQL] to the threshold point.
• Set
[VOL] to a suitable level.
• Drain water from the speaker.
Turn the internal speaker ON in set mode.
