Troubleshooting
Regarding the indicator lamps
When the LAMP, TEMP and POWER indicator operate differently than usual,
follow the instructions below in the following table.
For the SECURITY indicator, see SECURITY INDICATOR in the SECURITY menu.

The lamp will not light, and the projector may be
overheating.
Please turn the power off, and allow the projector to
cool down at least 20 minutes. After the projector has
sufciently cooled down, please conrm the following
items, and then turn the power on again.
• Are the air vents blocked?
• Is the air lter dirty?
• Is the room temperature higher than 95°F (35°C)?
If the same indicator re-appears after xing the above,
please change the lamp referring to the section
Replacing the lamp.

The lamp cover has not been properly xed.
Please turn the power off, and allow the projector
to cool down at least 45 minutes. After the projector
has sufciently cooled down, please verify that the
lamp cover is securely and properly fastened. After
performing any needed maintenance, turn the power on
again.
If the same indicator re-appears after xing the
above,
please contact your dealer or service company.

The cooling fan is not operating.
Please turn the power off, and allow the projector to
cool down at least 20 minutes. After the projector has
sufciently cooled down, please conrm that no foreign
matter has become caught in the fan, etc., and then
turn the power on again.
If the same indicator re-appears after xing the above,
please contact your dealer or service company.
