9.5. VENTILATION PARAMETERS
The Ventilation Parameters screen displays the relevant patient information,
updated on a real-time basis:
Ventilation Parameters screen
Select BPM to change the breaths per minute delivered.
Select VTe to change the desired VTi.
Select I:E to change the default T.i
Select ALARMS to view the current active (silenced) alarms.
Select GRAPH to display the Pressure or Flow graphs see Section 9.7.
Pressure and flow graphs.
Select MANUAL BREATH to give one breath to the patient using the
current parameters.
Select MENU to display the Menu screensee Section 10. Main Menu.
Note: The possible range of T.i is a minimum of 0.3 seconds and max-
imum of 4 seconds. However, a maximum will be restricted in accor-
dance with the breath length (as defined by the BPM) to a maximum of
half the breath time. For example, if the BPM is defined as 20, then the
breath length will be 3 seconds and the max T.i will be 1.5 seconds).
