Breath
9.5. VENTILATION PARAMETERS
The Ventilation Parameters screen displays the relevant patient information,
updated on a real-time basis:

• Select BPM to change the breaths per minute delivered.
• Select VTe to change the desired VTi.
• Select I:E to change the default T.i
• Select ALARMS to view the current active (silenced) alarms.
• Select GRAPH to display the Pressure or Flow graphs – see Section 9.7.

• Select MANUAL BREATH to give one breath to the patient using the
current parameters.
• Select MENU to display the Menu screen – see Section 10. Main Menu.
Note: The possible range of T.i is a minimum of 0.3 seconds and max-
imum of 4 seconds. However, a maximum will be restricted in accor-
dance with the breath length (as defined by the BPM) to a maximum of
half the breath time. For example, if the BPM is defined as 20, then the
breath length will be 3 seconds and the max T.i will be 1.5 seconds).
