Step5:
Connect display. Either eDP (RefDes: J1B2) or DP (RefDes: J3A1) or HDMI (J3A1) or
PEG slot (J5B3) with graphics card. If initial silicon does not support graphics then use
PCIe* slot connector (RefDes: J8B1, J7B2) with the help of external graphics card.
Step6:
Connect a PS/2 keyboard in J7J1 (Top) or a USB keyboard in one of the default USB
Walkup ports.
Connect a PS/2 mouse in J7J1 (Mouse) or a USB mouse in one of the default USB
Walkup ports.
Step7:
Insert dediProg (RefDes: J7H1) and follow steps to flash BIOS IFWI image
Insert dediProg (RefDes: J9E10) and follow steps to flash EC image
Note: CFL-S has separate onboard flash for EC and BIOS
Step8:
Connect the ATX to provide power to board.
Step9:
As the system boots, press F2 to enter the BIOS setup screen.
Check time, date, and configuration settings. The default settings should be sufficient
for most users with the exception of Intel
®
Speed Step Technology. This feature is
disabled by default and can be enabled in setup.
Save and exit the BIOS setup.
The system boots and is ready for use.
7.3 SF600 Programming
SPI Can be programmed in Single I/O mode as well as quad mode for more speed.
1. Connect Dediprog SF600 to header at RefDes:J1H1
2. Launch the Dediprog tool and confirm the settings from config → miscellaneous
settings → Quad IO option → Enable Quad IO. Default is single I/O
3. Ensure that “currently working on” is in “Application Memory Chip 1”. BIOS IFWI
has 32MB flash image
4. Go to “file” and select the .bin file to program chip1
5. Execute the batch operation to erase and program the chip.
6. Similar steps needs to be followed for EC Flash programming on J9E10 header
