Theprintheadissubjecttowearbothfromthedirectthermalmediaor
ribbonandfromtherapidheatingandcoolingprocessduringprinting.
Thus,theprintheadwillrequireperiodicreplacement.
Timebetweenprintheadreplacementsdependsontheprintimages,the
typeofdirectthermalmediaorribboninuse,theamountofenergyto
theprinthead,theprintspeed,theambienttemperature,andseveral
otherfactors.
Whilereplacingtheprinthead,thepowermustbeoff.The
firmwarewillnotdetectthenewprintheadresistanceand
densityuntiltheprinterhasbeenrestarted.
Note:
Checkthatthedensityanddotalignmentofthenew
printheadmatchestheprintheadyouarereplacing.However,
youcanswitchbetweenalignmentsanddensitiesatwill,butbe
advisedthattheprintoutwillbeaffectedaccordingly.
