Ifribbonwrinklingoccurs,youmayneedtoadjustthealignmentofthe
frontribbonbreakshaftsothatitrunsparalleltotheprintheadandthe
ribbonsupplyandrewindhubs.Theadjustmentisdoneusingastraight-
slotscrewthatislocatedimmediatelybehindthefrontribbonbreak
shaft.
·Iftheribbontendstoslideoutwards,turnthescrewcarefullyclock-
wise(fw)tomovetheouterendofthebreakshaftforward.
·Iftheribbontendstoslideinwards,turnthescrewcarefullycounter-
clockwise(bw)tomovetheouterendofthebreakshaftbackward.
Beforereadjustingthebreakshaft,makesurethatthereis
noothercauseforthewrinklingoftheribbon.(SeeChap-
ter10,“Troubleshooting.”)
