Thelabelstop/blackmarksensor(LSS)isaphotoelectricsensorthat
controlstheprinter’smediafeedbydetectinggapsbetweenlabels,orslots
orblackmarksincontinuousstock,dependingontheprinter’ssetup
inregardofmediatype(seeChapter6,“SettingUpthePrinter”).An
obviousprerequisiteisthattheLSSmustbealignedwiththegaps,slots,
orblackmarks.Ifusing-irregularlyshapedlabels,aligntheLSSwiththe
fronttipsofthelabels.
TheLSScanbemovedlaterallybetween5

xedpositions.Thereisone
partofthesensorontopoftheuppermediaguideandanotherpart
underneaththelowerguide.Thesemustbeadjustedindividuallytothe
sameposition.Usingasmallscrewdriver,pushtheminwardsasfaras
theygoandthenpullthemout—oneatthetime—whilecountingthe
clicksfromthesnap-locks.Aholeinthebottomplatefacilitatesadjust-
mentofthelowersensorpackage.
