Thepressureofthethermalprintheadagainstthedirectthermalmedia
isfactory-adjusted.However,theuseofthickerorthinnermediathan
normalcouldrequiretheprintheadpressuretobereadjusted.
Usingastraight-slotscrewdriver,turntheadjustmentscrewclockwisefor
morepressure(+)orcounterclockwiseforlesspressure(-).Printafew
labels,preferablytestlabels(seeChapter6,“SettingUpthePrinter”)and
checktheprintout.Increasedpressuregenerallygivesadarkerprintout
andviceversa.Repeatuntilthedesiredresultisobtained.
Toreturntothefactorysetting,tightenthescrew(+)asfarasitgoesand
thenloosenit(-)fourfullturns.
Donotuseahigherprintheadpressurethannecessary,
becauseitmayincreasethewearoftheprintheadand
shortenitslife.
