  There could be several reasons why you cannot play back images. First, ensure the camera is powered on by rotating the function dial and sliding the power switch. Check the batteries: they may be exhausted and need replacing, or they may be inserted incorrectly - remove and re-insert them following the polarity diagram. Also, confirm that the CF card is properly inserted, if it is not, the LCD monitor will display “NO CARD”. If the auto power off function has activated, slide the power switch to turn the camera on again. Finally, if the focus lamp is blinking green and "PLAY BACK" is blinking on the LCD monitor, the camera is reading data; wait until it completes.

  The live view might not be displaying for several reasons. First, ensure the camera is powered on. If the camera is on, check the batteries; they may be exhausted, or inserted with incorrect polarity. If the batteries are fine, make sure the LCD monitor is turned on by pressing the display button. Also, the auto power off function may have activated, in this case, slide the power switch to turn the camera on again.

  The shutter-release button might not be released because the camera is turned off. Turn on the camera by rotating the function dial and sliding the power switch. Alternatively, if the focus lamp is blinking slowly and "Recording" is blinking on the LCD monitor, the image is being recorded. Wait until the recording is completed.

  If the focus cannot be adjusted and the focus lamp is blinking rapidly, it may be due to attempting to focus on a subject that is difficult to focus on in autofocus mode. Try using the focus lock function or switch to manual focus mode. Also, ensure the subject is not closer than 40 cm, or farther than 40 cm in close up mode. If in close up mode, the subject should be within 4 cm to 40 cm from the camera.

  If the shutter-release button is not released and 'CARD FULL' is displayed, it means the CF card is full. You should delete unwanted images, transfer image data to a computer and then delete all images from the card, or use another CF card with available space.
