Operation Manual
Charge Pump (40K Units)
A charge pump (Figure 16) is mounted on the
underside of the unit. A belt pulley, driven by
the belt drive, spins the pump. The charge
pump is required to provide 40 - 50 psi (2.8 -
3.4 Bar) of water through the secondary lter
on 40K equipped units. Other uid end pres-
sure ranges do not require secondary ltering
so the plumbing must be re-routed to bypass
the secondary lter.
!!
CAUTION
Do not operate the engine without water in the
system. Damage to the charge pump will occur.
Fluid End and Unit Identication
A plate (Figure 17) is attached to all uid end
manifolds. The plate is stamped with the uid
end model number. In addition, the plate is
stamped with plunger size and output pres-
sure related to that plunger size. Refer to this
plate before operating the pump.
Two plates are attached to the right hand side of
the trailer or skid near the bottom of the pump
(Figure 18).
A serial number plate displays the model and
serial number of the unit. Always refer to this
serial number when contacting Jetstream for
parts or service.
An emissions plate displays the emissions
certication as well as the date of manufac-
ture and the vehicle identication number
(VIN).
