Figure 6: Audio Output
The “Audio Output”-tab allows users to set up ampliers, zone assignments, zone relays, signal monitoring, Modbus
monitoring and the external PA output.
The amplier setup is used to set the zone assignments and amplier type for all six amplier outputs of the MPA1600.
Please note that for the Compact MPA, at most three of these will be used. Each amplier can be assigned to any of the six
available zones, or a set of mulple zones. This is performed by simply clicking the applicable zone. Enabled zones for an
amplier is highlighted in green. The type must also be set for the amplier. This impacts the output signal used to drive the
amplier. The available choices are InterM PA-93xx and Phontech 1670/1671. It is also possible to set a custom value for
other, unlisted ampliers. The value given here is the maximum signal amplitude in mV.
The loudspeaker zone relays opon is an advanced seng that must not normally be modied. It controls the relays that go
acve when a zone is enabled, by default this is a one-to-one mapping.
Amplier signal monitoring controls a separate signal path for monitoring of amplier outputs with dedicated hardware.
This is not applicable for the Compact MPA and has been superseded by monitoring and stand-by amplier internally in the
Phontech 1671.
Amplier Modbus monitoring enables monitoring of one or more Phontech 1671 units connected via Modbus. Please set
this to the amount of Phontech 1671 ampliers that have been installed.
The External PA out makes it possible to adjust the maximum signal amplitude for the external PA output of the Compact
MPA. The default value is 775mV (0dBm).
