7.3.3 GENERAL ALARM
General Alarm (GA) is the highest priority alarm in the system.
7.3.3.1 PRIORITY
• GA overrides any other audible alarm in the system.
• GA overrides any external entertainment system by means of an entertainment mute signal while acve
(see chapter 4.4 and 9.3).
• GA overrides any volume controls (entertainment) while acve.
• GA overrides normal paging (PA).
• GA does not override emergency paging (EMPA) messages currently acve. GA will acvate once the
EMPA message has been concluded.
• GA is broadcast to all zones/areas in the system.
7.3.3.2 DESCRIPTION
General Alarm is iniated by pressing Alarm buon 1 on the 1603/1605/1606/1643. This buon is disnguished by a red
colour. The buon must be pressed for at least one second to acvate the alarm.
General alarm can be terminated by pressing the Cancel buon. This buon is disnguished by a white colour. The buon
must be pressed for at least one second to cancel any alarm.
The 1603/1605/1606/1643 access units have three addional alarm buons for acvaon of oponal alarms. These alarms
must all have a lower priority than the GA and will be overridden if GA is acvated.
