The acvaon parameter of the external input denes how long the input is to be considered triggered. If set to
“Connuous”, the input is triggered as long as its state is asserted. If set to “Impulse” the input is triggered immediately
when its state is asserted, and is not cancelled when the state is no longer asserted. Please note that if acvaon is set to
“Impulse”, it is not possible to cancel the alarm from the same input. Cancellaon must be performed via an access unit or by
asserng a dierent external alarm input with type set to “Cancel”.
The output parameter denes which alarm output (if any) to trigger when the external alarm is asserted. If this is set to
“None”, no alarm outputs will be triggered based on this external alarm input.
Alarm synchronisaon sets the zone or set of zones, alarm tone and alarm priority as well as some advanced opons for the
alarm synchronisaon input. This input is typically used to synchronise a sound or alarm in the GA system with an external
trigger, for example re bells. The advanced opons include the possibility to set the waveform generator for MPAL alarm
tones and which alarm output to assert when the alarm synchronisaon input is acve. The waveform must be either “Sine”
or “Triangle” for a sine-wave generator or triangle-wave generator respecvely.
