6.5 Prepayment
The prepayment function is to be used with a reading system prepared for communication with Kamstrup
electricity meters or with an external unit prepared for payment control. Prepayment is only possible for meters
with internal breaker, and will not work together with tariffs.
Be aware that the JJ code and A
14prepayment
can only be changed via the module port, not via the optical head.
The prepayment function is as standard integrated in meters with breakers and can be activated and deactived as
required. When A
14prepayment
has reached 0 kWh, the supply to the consumer is disconnected, and a new value for
the register must be programmed.
When prepayment is activated, the countdown register A
14prepayment
is not automatically activated in the display
settings. This has to be done manually by using a display setup that includes the prepayment register. When a
display setting with the A
14prepayment
register is activated, the register is only shown when prepayment is enabled.
The unit in the display is “kWh” and “PAY” is shown in the text field. The prepayment is based on the total A+
register, and therefore, it is disregarded if the meter is configured for tariffs.
When prepayment is deactivated, the A
14prepayment
is reset. The A
14prepayment
-register cannot be reset in other ways.
The minimum and the maximum values for the prepayment-register depend on the formatting of the energy
display.
Display format Min. value Max. value
7.0 0 9 999 999
6.1 0 999 999.9
A
14prepayment
disconnects only on workingdays, not on non-workingdays or exceptionsdays. If the register reach zero
on a non-workingday or exceptionsday, the disconnection will happen at the firstcoming workingday.
When A
14prepayment
has reached 0 kWh, and the relays are disconnecting, it will be possible to decrease the load,
reconnect the meter and by that still be able use a minimum of current or power. The limits, called I
exception
or
P
exception
, are configurable within following range.
Register Min. value Max. value
I
exception
0 A
80 A
P
exception
0 kW
80 kW
The minimum limit secures that the consumer, who has been disconnected, can reduce his consumption and
hereafter reconnect in order to maintain energy for e.g. essential appliances.
At configuration of disconnect values, the following applies:
- I
exception
< I
disconnect
- P
exception
< P
disconnect
t
prepayment
is a time limit for the duration in which the exception for current and power, respectively, can be active.
When the limit is exceeded, the consumer is disconnected. When A
14prepayment
differs from 0, or the consumer is
disconnected, the time restarts at zero.
Register Min. value Max. value
t
prepayment
0 255 days
If the limit for t
prepayment
is exceeded, the supply to the consumer must be reconnected by means of a command.
